According to FRWO’s website, President Dr Raisi visited Jiroft to be informed about the situation of the flooded areas in the south of Kerman and to monitor the process of providing relief to the people.
Upon arrival from his two-day trip to Russia, Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi called the Governor General of Kerman to inquire about the latest flood situation in the southern regions of the province.
In this telephone call, the President followed up the flood damage and the temporary accommodation of the victims with the governor-general of Kerman and instructed the governor-general of the necessary instructions to expedite the provision of services to the flood victims.
The President, who was in Moscow on Thursday, instructed his chief of staff to contact the interior minister and the Governor General of Kerman to follow up on the situation of the flood victims in southern Kerman.
Based on the President's orders, on Thursday evening, Dr Gholamhossein Esmaili, President's Chief of Staff, called the Interior Minister and the Governor General of Kerman from Moscow to inquire about the situation of the flood victims.
Ayatollah Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi upon arrival at Mehrabad Airport from his two-day trip to Russia; left for Jiroft before noon on Friday to look into the situation of the flooded areas and monitor the relief process.
Speaking to reporters at Jiroft airport, the President said: "The vital action is to make better predictions and prevention before the floods occur; therefore, the construction of the dams is necessary to maintain condition for the agriculture, which should be done."
Pointing out that the issue of integrated watershed management (IWM) and aquifer recharge projects management is very important in the region and should be carried out in the medium term, the President stated: "A long-term work to should be carried out in the region is the complete construction of the dam aimed at making cities safe during and after floods.
Based on this report, as previously mentioned, Dr Raisi personally contacted the Governor General of Kerman on Friday morning, immediately after arriving at Mehrabad Airport, and issued the necessary instructions to expedite the relief work.
